  • The Obagi Blue Peel Radiance is a salicylic acid, glycolic acid and lactic acid peel suitable for all skin types which work to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin, thereby improving skin texture.

    This chemical peel will slough off dead skin and unblock clogged pores. It is very effective for acne sufferers or those with redness from previous breakouts. It will reduce future breakouts and improve red acne scarring, giving a brighter and fresher complexion.

  • No. This is a superficial face peel, so no skin preparation is required. You can have it on the day of your appointment. 

    However, if your skin is extremely dry, then you will need to prepare your skin beforehand with specific Obagi products that are designed to restore hydration. We recommend a medical moisturiser and SPF after your peel.

  • Yes. You will need to use a medical moisturiser to assist the shedding of dead skin after your peel. You will also need to wear an approved medical SPF after your peel for at least 14 days. Both products can be provided by Mango Aesthetics to take with you after treatment.

  • • You should stop using any products containing retinol, glycolic, other AHA’s or bleaching products for 3 days prior to your peel. 

    • Avoid using the sunbed or experiencing sunburn to the face in the 2 weeks prior to your peel.

  • • You will need to apply both aftercare products for at least 14 days after your peel.

    • Avoid excessive sweating, strenuous exercise,  hot baths and saunas for 72 hours after your peel. Avoid picking, rubbing and scrubbing the skin for 5 days post treatment. 

    • Avoid strong sun exposure and sunbeds for at lest 14 days after your treatment. 

    • 20% Salicylic Acid 

    • 2% Glycolic Acid 

    • 2% Lactic Acid

  • Face, neck, shoulders and upper back.

  • The number of treatments varies depending on the skin concerns being treated. 

    Some clients have a one-off treatment to refresh the skin or control breakouts. However, as it is a superficial peel you would normally need a course of 3-6 treatments to see dramatic results or treat actual skin conditions.

  • Mango Aesthetics offers two different peels. We recommend booking a skin consultation so that we can assess your skin concerns and advise which peel is best for you.

  • Side effects may include (but aren’t limited to): mild stinging, irritation,  redness, swelling, tightness, peels and scabbing of the skin, scarring, post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation, hypo-pigmentation.
