Dermal Fillers rejuvenate the face, neck and décolletage by lifting lines & wrinkles, smoothing out deep folds and restoring facial contours to create a fuller, healthier more youthful appearance. Our aim at Mango Aesthetics is to create a natural subtle result. Your family and friends would not be aware you’ve had any treatment, in fact they will think you look fresh and almost like you’ve had a good night’s sleep or a holiday!

Here at Mango Aesthetics, we offer one of the best dermal filler treatments in Lytham St Anne’s, called Teoxane. This is a highly popular dermal filler for mild, moderate & deep wrinkles folds and creases. It is also often used to soften facial scarring.

Teoxane dermal filler is made of hyaluronic acid, which works by boosting the skin’s own supply of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is the body’s own natural skin plumper. It is a naturally occurring sugar produced in our skin and joints, and keeps our skin hydrated and supple. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid produced decreases, and fine lines begin to appear that will eventually turn into wrinkles. This injectable substance has a gel consistency and is made of non- animal hyaluronic which is tissue friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that is produced naturally in the body. Dermal fillers are long lasting but not permanent. A single filler treatment lasts 9 -18 months.

Teoxane is an FDA approved dermal filler. It leads the market and gives outstanding results in a variety of different areas. However, I always say “it’s the injector not the syringe”

Results are based on the skill of the injector rather than the product being used. Our nurse injector has many years of experience in the industry and has administered injectable treatments to thousands of clients over the years and carried out her work on a daily basis.

  • During the consultation, you will be asked to complete a medical health questionnaire as it’s our duty of care to ensure this treatment is the correct treatment for you. We take before and after photos as it is an insurance requirement, plus it is important that we have a record of your before and after pictures. All photos are strictly confidential and only used for medico-legal reasons, unless we ask consent for photos to be used or marketing purposes.

We will work together to ensure you get the result you’re looking for. All pre and post aftercare will be discussed during consultation.

A consultation is an opportunity to ask any questions and to explain your desired outcome of the treatment.  You will be given time to consider if this is the right treatment for you.

  • Dermal Fillers are injected below the skins surface to hydrate and smooth out lines and wrinkles, restore lost volume and add contour. Anti-Wrinkle Injections are used to relax specific facial muscles thereby smoothing out the overlying skin.

  • Local anaesthetic cream is applied 30-60 mins prior to treatment to help minimise any discomfort. The injection itself also contains a numbing agent to further ease any discomfort.

  • Each individual has a different pain threshold,  however it is a very well tolerated procedure. Most people describe it as a minor scratch/sting. A local anaesthetic cream can be used for added comfort if need be, but is not usually required in most cases.

  • The results of Anti-Wrinkle Injections typically begin to appear within a few days after injection. However, full results may not be visible for about 1-2 weeks.

  • 6-18 months depending on type of filler used and the individual’s response.

  • Numbing cream is applied before your treatment. Dermal Filler is injected via a very fine needle.  The product is injected easily and evenly under the surface of the skin at superficial levels for fine lines and slightly deeper for deeper wrinkles and folds and for adding volume and contour.

    • Avoid blood thinners (such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen) and alcohol 24-48 hours prior to treatment. Please note, if you take blood thinning medication for a medical health condition, only stop prior to treatment if it is safe to do so.

    • If prone to bruising, consider taking arnica tablets 7-10 days before and after treatment.

    • Avoid high doses of vitamins A, C, and E for 24-48 hours before treatment, as they can encourage more bruising.

    • Avoid blood thinners and alcohol for 24-48 hours.

    • Avoid hot baths or showers for 24-48 hours.

    • Avoid sunbeds, saunas, and steam rooms until initial swelling subsides.

    • Avoid wearing makeup for 6 hours.

    • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours.

    • There may be some redness, swelling, or tenderness post-treatment. Bruising normally subsides within a few days.

    • Discuss your treatment program with your practitioner to maximize results and longevity.

  • Mild swelling and soreness is temporary and usually subsides shortly afterwards. If improperly administered, the treatment can result in more serious complications such as infections or allergic reactions, but our experienced nurse injector at Mango Aesthetics will take all necessary precautions to ensure that these situations do not arise.

  • Our dermal fillers are fully reversible with a drug called Hyaluronidase, which dissolves hyaluronic acid based fillers quickly, effectively and safely.

  • COVID-19 infection and vaccinations can both challenge our immune system by overstimulating its response, which may lead to complications after injections. Nodules and local skin reactions can occur within weeks, months, or even years after treatment when our immune system is challenged. However, so far, there has been a low incidence of cases. Your safety is our priority, and we advise the following precautions:

    • Do not have dermal fillers, or skin boosters 2 weeks before your vaccinations or 3 weeks after.

    • If you have had a COVID-19 infection, do not have dermal fillers, skin boosters, or anti-wrinkle injections until you have been symptom-free for at least 3 weeks.

    • If you develop any symptoms after your treatment, please contact our clinic immediately.

Please note: For the Influenza and Pneumonia vaccines, please follow the same advice.

    • You will be treated by a highly experienced nurse injector who has performed thousands of dermal filler treatments across all skin types and ages. We are confident you will be delighted with the final results.

    • We use only the best dermal filler products, as we believe in using premium quality for optimal and lasting results.

    • A minimal bruising technique is applied to reduce downtime and ensure a smoother recovery.

    • Our vast clinical nursing background ensures that you are always in safe and professional hands.

    • We take pride in listening to our clients' desired results and being honest about achievable expectations.
